Mitochondrion and Chloroplast design

Mitochondrion and the chloroplast are somewhat similar and different. Chloroplasts are found inside plants, while the Mitochondrion is found inside a cell. The Mitochondrion is the “power house” of the cell, while the Chloroplast is merely the opposite, as it feeds of of it. The Chloroplast is designed as an energy source for the Mitochondrion.

http://www.cartage.org.lb/en/themes/sciences/zoology/AnimalPhysiology/Anatomy/AnimalCellStructure/Mitochondria/mitochondria.jpg is the picture i have chosen because it shows the diagram and all of the parts of the Mitochondrion and how it works.

In the inner membrane, there is a reaction which is called cellular respiration, which the mitochondrion harvests the energy with glucose to make a special molecule called ATP. Basically the ATP is like a battery, which is used to power the reactions of organelles inside the cell.

This is a picture from http://image.tutorvista.com/content/nutrition/chloroplast-cross-section.jpeg that i selected is because it has the full structure and labels of what the parts are and what it looks like.

The Chloroplast is basically designed as a piece of the cell that shares glucose to the Mitochondrion to make energy, so basically a source of it. The Chloroplast is more involved in the transaction between the two, while the Mitochondrion only takes it and shares it with the organelles and the rest of the cell.
